The American Kennel Club, a non-profit organization that maintains the world's largest registry of purebred dogs, has released a list of the world's most popular purebred dogs in 2021. Based on the organization's annual registration statistics, the results are tabulated. The list of 189 dog breeds was narrowed down to the top 10 four-legged companions that dog lovers preferred to take home.
 
Nationwide pet insurance has compiled the most common health conditions and most common names for each breed based on policyholder data.
